Radel (PPSU) provides the highest performance of our sulfone polymers, and has better impact resistance and chemical resistance than polysulfone (PSU) and poly (ether imide) (PEI).
The high heat resistance and excellent hydrolytic stability of Radel PPSU make it an ideal choice for hot water fittings and medical devices that require repeated steam sterilization.
Radel series R-7000 products are specially used inside the aircraft, comply with the strict regulations of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on low heat release, low emission and low toxic gas emissions.

Toughness strength
Radel (PPSU) can withstand continuous exposure to humid and high temperature environments, and can still withstand tremendous impact without rupture or fracture.
Using Gardiner dart impact evaluation testing machine at 190 degrees Celsius (375 degrees Fahrenheit) impact strength under thermal aging test piece of 170 hours. Radel PPSU has higher impact strength than PEI, without cracking or fracture.
