Polyetheretherketone, referred to as PEEK, is a linear aromatic polymer compound with chain links in the main chain of molecules. Its constituent units are oxygen - phenylene - oxo - carbonyl - phenylene, which are semi crystalline and thermoplastic.
Decades of mature performance
Meet customer requirements for high performance
PEEK polymers lead future performance trends. These grades can be provided in the form of pellets and powders, and have been shown to be reliable in a variety of challenging applications. ST polymer with stable performance, can break the limit of performance in high temperature environment.
Advantages of high performance resins:
-
A lighter solution can reduce fuel consumption and reduce environmental impactExcellent elastic properties are maintained over a wide temperature range to extend the service life of the partsExcellent wear resistance, increase the durability of componentsCorrosion resistant chemicals and natural elements, thereby reducing downtime and parts failureReliable long term mechanical properties and dimensional stabilityIt meets the strict safety requirements and has the characteristics of flame retardant, low smoke and low toxic emissionsIt has excellent barrier properties for various liquids and greases, thus ensuring higher overall performance of parts
-
machining
PEEK polymer easy to process
PEEK polymers can be processed by using traditional thermoplastic processing equipment. Unfilled and filled grades can be supplied in the form of pellets, powders, or ultrafine powders. Granular materials are generally recommended by injection molding, extrusion, monofilament and wrapping. Powder is suitable for compression molding, and superfine powder is usually used for coating, composite prepreg and molding.
- injection molding
- Extrusion molding
- Compression Molding
Most standard reciprocating screw injection molding machines can be manufactured without filling and filling PEEK grades, which can be used to produce high performance components with complex structure, without annealing or conventional machining.
